KnowYourPolicy.ca is an independent Canadian consumer education resource operated as an unincorporated publishing site. We are not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or provider. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through this website.

What information we collect

KnowYourPolicy.ca does not collect personal information from visitors. There are no intake forms, account registrations, newsletter signups, or contact forms on this site.

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page visits) may be retained by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

How this site works

This site is a read-only educational resource. Visiting any page on KnowYourPolicy.ca does not result in any personal information being collected, stored, or shared by this site.

If you wish to speak with a licensed Canadian insurance advisor, you will be directed to contact one independently. KnowYourPolicy.ca does not facilitate that introduction through any form or data collection mechanism at this time.

Third parties

This site does not share personal information with any third party because it does not collect any. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may retain standard server logs as noted above. Those logs are governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy and are not accessible to or controlled by KnowYourPolicy.ca.

Articles on this site may link to KnowYourPension.ca, a sister education site covering Canadian government pensions and retirement benefits. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

Consent

Because no personal information is collected, no consent to data collection is required to use this site. Visiting and reading content on KnowYourPolicy.ca is entirely passive.

Data retention

KnowYourPolicy.ca retains no personal information. Any server logs retained by Cloudflare are subject to their own retention policies.

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served over encrypted HTTPS connections. No personal information is stored on our servers because none is collected.
